SUPER RED AROWANA

This type of arwana was already has a red color on the fins, tail, paddle and grouse since childhood and later that would be also appear on the cheeks and gill edge. Ring will start to look after reaching 25 cm of size, but that wouldn't be a red colorThe red color on the body will start to come out when the fish was about 3 or 4 years old. But the hobbies often use tricks to help accelerate the development of color, such as tanning, good feeding for the development of color, or by placing the fish in the pond that is exposed to direct sunlight

 

CHILI RED AROWANA

Chili Red Arowana on the other hand has a very large orange eye almost touching the head scull and an obvious diamond shape tail red in color. Young Chili Red Arowana has bluish metallic base color and after the age 5-9 months and above the metallic red ring color can be seen very conspicuously. At the age 1-2 years the red metallic ring around the scale and the base color will be fully develop. The top part is dark green in color.

 

RTG AROWANA

Red tail golden (RTG) arowana or Scleropages Aureus is also found in Indonesia. The exact location is in Pekan Baru of Northern Sumatra Island. Most RTG will have its golden color reaching the fourth or fifth rows of the scales and it seldom attain 24k gold color. Although the scales are golden, the anal and caudal fins are reddish brown. There are two premium grades of this species named as high back and super high back. Cross back golden is considered as full gold, the meaning of high back can be said as half gold and super high back is in between.

 

ASIAN RED AROWANA

Asian Red Arowana is found in Kalimantan and Sumatra of Indonesia. 1st grade red can have different intensity of color ranging from yellow to orange to red to blood-red and chilli-red. The higher intensity red is more desirable and often demand very high price. It is often difficult to differentiate 1st grade red from 2nd grade red when the fish is young.
